This nail weight molds is 12 cavities

• Want to adjust the weight for that exact fit.  Snip it to length.  

HOW TO USE THIS MOLD - Its works best if:

1. You should preheat the mold.  Leave it on top of your lead pot to warm up, or just pour it a few times.  
2. Lightly dust the cavities with talcum powder or other fine (heat resistant) powder.  The fine particles break up the surface tension of the lead and allow it to flow better. 
3. Pressure cast the mold.  Use a bottom pour pot and hold the gate for the cavity seated firmly against the nozzle on the bottom of the bottom pour pot so the weight of the lead in the pot pressurizes the lead in the cavity.  
4. By following the steps above I was able to get 12 out of 12 good castings.  

NOTE:  Due to the square back of the barbs/cones the casting will drag on opening.  It will take more force to open than some other molds.  With soft lead it will open easier than with hard lead, but the nail weights will be likely to bend upon demolding.  You have to work out what is best for you.  It is suggested to demold the nail weights by rolling or twisting to one side by gripping the sprue with pliers from the top edge exposed after opening.
