1/4-20 x 2 Stainless Stud & Nut (PAIR)

This is the stud and nut used with the phenolic handle we currently use on our lead and other low melt casting molds. This price is for 2 studs and 2 nuts.

1/4-20 Threaded stud
2 Inch Length
1/4-20 Nut
Material - Stainless Steel

Instructions:  The handle (not included) and stud will not fit on most molds without a slight bend.  Below is the way I install them.  

1. Thread the stud into the handle and tighten it with a 1/8 inch hex key.  
2. Spin the nut onto the stud.
3. Turn the stud into the mold plate.  
4. When handles are seated as deep as practical and both handles are even, snug nut against mold plate with 7/16 wrench
5. Holding the mold plate that the stud is threaded into firmly give the stud a slight bend away from the parting line of the mold.   I typically do this across my knee, but other people may wish to clamp in a vise with soft wood jaws.
